Young Scholars Program
About the Program
The Association of Private Enterprise Education (APEE) invites young scholars seeking to attend and participate in the APEE 50th Meeting to apply for a Young Scholars Program Award. The program provides financial support to both first-time and returning participants in the APEE meeting.
The APEE Young Scholars Program is made possible through the generous support of donors to the Association.
Priority for allocation of awards is given to individuals planning to participate on the APEE 50th Meeting program. More information about the APEE 50th Meeting is available here: Call for Papers and Session Proposals.
Successful applicants are invited to register for the meeting at a discounted rate of $100.00 (the standard fee is $599.00) and are offered a stipend to offset expenses to attend and participate in the meeting. Current graduate students, post-doctoral researchers, and early career assistant professors are eligible and encouraged to apply for an award.
Prior recipients of two or more Young Scholars Program awards should not expect to receive another award.
Application Procedure
To apply, please prepare the following:
- A short essay (250-300 words) explaining why the applicant wishes to attend the meeting;
- A short letter of reference, preferable from an APEE member (present or past), indicating why support should be provided to the applicant; and
- A brief note from the applicant’s department chair, graduate director, or supervisor indicating the level of institutional support the applicant can expect.
All applications should be submitted by email with PDF attachments to the Young Scholars Program Committee at apee.youngscholars@ttu.edu.
The deadline to apply for a Young Scholars Program Award is Friday, January 23, 2026. Successful applicants will be notified and invited to register for the meeting by Friday, January 30, 2026.
